Mallory Academy of Dance is one of the few studios in Bakersfield that offers a diverse experience with syllabus training in multiple styles. The Academy’s Ballet program is based on the syllabus provided by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London. Examinations are administered annually by an official representative of RAD. Although examinations are optional, we do encourage all serious students to participate in the opportunity.

At Mallory Academy of Dance, we give dancers in Bakersfield the opportunity to audition and compete in a variety of dance styles at a regional and national level, with our award-winning competition team, MAD Krew. This is not for your average dancer. Our mission is to encourage and develop Bakersfield’s next generation of professional dancers and give them the foundation needed for an exciting career in dance.

The Academy also offers one of Bakersfield’s strongest modern dance programs with a syllabus influenced by contemporary styles, and the techniques of Lester Horton and Martha Graham. Our modern dance classes feature quality jazz, hip hop, tap, and tumbling syllabus training. Students will be exposed to different cultures of dance (West African, Afro-Caribbean, Latin infused ballroom) during our master classes which are held throughout the year.
